ALIY ZIRKLE & ALLEN MOORE
Dog Mushing is the premier form of Arctic Transportation in Alaska. Our passion for dog mushing is evident through our Olympic caliber training program, our racing schedule and our adventure travel vacations.
Skunk's Place Kennel (S.P.) is a premier Sled Dog Kennel located in Two Rivers, Alaska. We are dedicated to individual dogs through excellent health, nutrition and overall dog care. Our breeding program is highly selective and SP Kennel remains small and competitive.

Long distance Sled Dog Racing is SP Kennel's focus. Aliy Zirkle, the 2000 Yukon Quest Champion, was the first woman ever to win "The World's Toughest Sled Dog Race". Allen Moore has dominated the Copper Basin 300 for the last 4 years and is the current champion of this grueling 300 mile race. Both Mushers compete annually in the 1,000 mile Iditarod Sled Dog race.

After the racing season, we are ready to relax and enjoy the basics of dog mushing. We head up to the North Slope of Alaska with ALL the kennel dogs: racers and puppies. There we share our unique lifestyle to select guests by guiding adventure travel trips.
